Behind The Seams
Created as a Master’s Thesis for submission to The Vogue College of Fashion
Project Brief
This project should demonstrate a high level of awareness of current industry practice as well as academic debates within the field of fashion journalism, editorial direction and content creation in the creation of an original, industry-standard Practical Project.
The Written Document should support your practical piece of work by contextualizing either your practice itself, the subject you are exploring through your practice or a combination of both. It should demonstrate your in-depth knowledge and critical understanding of current industry practices within Fashion Journalism & Editorial Direction.
My Approach
Behind The Seams was born from my own search for a fashion podcast that was both educational and entertaining while reflecting the raw, unapologetic style of the shows my demographic enjoy. Combining my humour, relatability and journalistic background, I created a podcast that busts industry stereotypes, interviews unexpected voices, challenges misconceptions. My aim was to redefine fashion journalism, providing a space for Gen Z listeners who are finding themselves and their own personal style. This podcast showcases my voice and vision with recorded and filmed episodes, demonstrating how fashion media can be both accessible and meaningful.
